Maintenance Schedule
Our greenkeepers have chosen the following dates to do the hollow tinning and top dressing of the greens:
- May 2026: Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd
- September 2026: Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd
These works are essential in order to keep and maintain the greens in good condition for play during all year round.
At Santana, we carry out scheduled aeration works to ensure the long-term health and performance of our greens. This process involves perforating the surface to allow better air, water, and nutrient penetration into the soil.
By making the ground more permeable, it encourages deeper root growth, enhances drainage, and promotes a firmer, more consistent playing surface.
We understand these works may briefly affect the game, but they are vital to maintain the quality and consistency that players at Santana enjoy throughout the year.
After aerification, the greens typically require a recovery period of approximately 7 to 10 days. During this time, putting surfaces may be slightly irregular due to the accumulation of sand from the hollow tinning process. This can affect ball roll and temporarily reduce the overall quality of the greens.
However, as a gesture of goodwill, during this brief recovery period we offer a special maintenance green fee (low season rate) for all players.
For more details, please check our green fee rates for 2025 and 2026.
At Santana Golf, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards while continuously enhancing our course. As part of our long-term improvement strategy, we are launching a Master Plan to upgrade key areas of the course while ensuring minimal disruption to play.
